After-School Pick Up

At Key Martial Arts, we know how beneficial karate classes are to the development of children. So we are always looking for ways to make our classes more accessible for children and more convenient for busy parents.

We have recently launched a new Supervised Minibus Pick Up Service from selected schools in the Lower North Shore (Fridays) and Eastern Suburbs (Thursdays) and a supervised walking service at North Rocks (Thursday).

This allows parents to ensure their child is benefitting from quality karate classes without having to leave work early and do all the driving around. Once registered to be picked up from school you can relax, knowing your child is benefitting from their martial arts training, and then you can pick them up later in the afternoon.

For this term, while we are trialling this service, minibus pick ups will be free of charge.

What schools do you pick up from?
North Rocks area – Thursdays
– North Rocks Public School (Walking Service)

Randwick/Clovelly area – Thursdays
– Bronte Public School
– Coogee Public School
– Rainbow Street Public School

Lane Cove area – Fridays
– Mowbray Public School (minibus and Walking Service)
– Lane Cove Public School
– Lane Cove West Public School

How does the minibus pick up work?
Once the bell rings, one of our staff will meet students at a central point within the school (usually in front of the school hall). Once all students are accounted for, our staff member walks with the children to the minibus pick up point, or walk with the students directly to the nearby venue. The minibus (which is seatbelt and booster seat equipped for safety) will arrive and students will board the minibus and have their seatbelts put on and checked. Once everyone is buckled up, we will drive to the students Karate venue, safely get off the bus and go to join the karate class. For this term, the minibus pick up is a free service for Key Martial Arts students or those who would like to try a class.

Can you pick up my child from an OOSH Service if their class is later in the afternoon?
Yes, however please check with us that the OOSH location and class time is possible for a minibus pick up. The OOSH service would need parental permission for a pick up by our staff.

When do I have to pick up my child up from Karate?
At some venues we do arrange supervised activities up to 6:15pm for a fee. At other drop off venues students are supervised up to 4pm for free, and then later than this for a small fee up until 6:15pm. Students are allowed wait quietly watching the following Karate classes until later that 6:15pm if needed.
